Habit can notify you when customers earn, redeem, refer, change tier, or have points about to expire. Configure this in Settings → Notifications.

Create a private API key

In Klaviyo, create a private API key with events:write.

Connect Habit

Paste the key into Klaviyo private API key and click Connect Klaviyo. The key is stored encrypted and is never shown again.

Build flows

Use these metrics in Klaviyo:
  • Habit: Points Earned
  • Habit: Tier Upgraded
  • Habit: Referral Sent
  • Habit: Referral Welcome Bonus
  • Habit: Points Redeemed
  • Habit: Points Expiring Soon
  • Habit: Points Expired
Events only send when the customer has an email address. If the server encryption key is rotated, reconnect Klaviyo — stored keys cannot be decrypted with a new key. Webhook URLs are unaffected. Click Disconnect to stop sending to Klaviyo.

Optional webhook

If Klaviyo is not connected, Habit POSTs JSON to Optional notification webhook URL. The body includes eventName, customerEmail, and properties. The webhook is a fallback. It is not used while Klaviyo is connected.
